Weekly Wrap Up: October 9 – 15

I bought some books this week, so I may do a haul soon! Plus I think there’s a book I pre-ordered that’s coming out soon… I should really keep better track of these things. On a mildly related note.. does anyone else post videos on youtube or use a light kit/ring light for their videos/photos? I’m trying to decide which one to buy so that I can finally also record my reviews for booktube. Advice would be appreciated!!

      I hope so? Haha. The first step is not to be like an awkward baby giraffe on camera. I started with trying to do the voice over on my videos and still feel like the most awkward person, but I’m hoping if I plan what I’m going to say maybe it won’t be so bad?

        Honestly though, watch every you tubers first video – they’re all awkward! It comes with time. You’ll get comfortable with it quick. Knowing what you’ll say before hand will help in the beginning

      I’m pretty early on in the book, maybe page 60? So it’s tough to say, but I hope to get a chance soon to sit down and just read it!

      Yeah, if you look closely (or they’re wearing glasses) you can see a ring of light reflected in some booktuber’s eyes (like Emmmabooks) and they use the ring light. But then some have those big lights on tripods.. and it’s just a lot of little differences, and I’m stumped haha.
