Tale of the Heart Queen

Tale of the Heart Queen by Nisha J. Tuli
Artefacts of Ouranos, #4
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3)

The final book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series tries to deliver on all the drama, magic, and romance it’s been building toward—but the execution stumbles. Key character shifts happen without any real setup, especially one major reversal that comes completely out of nowhere and feels wildly unearned. Emotional scenes lack the groundwork to land, and convenient plot devices are used to resolve moments that should’ve held more weight. The magical logic is inconsistent, which makes it hard to stay immersed in the world or feel any real tension.

Despite being the longest book in the series, the ending is shockingly quick and neat—everything ties up just a little too easily. After so much build-up, the finale feels anticlimactic and hollow. There are certainly readers who will find satisfaction in the closure, but for me, it lacked depth, nuance, and payoff. It’s not the worst ending I’ve read, but it doesn’t do justice to a four-book journey.
