With the release of King of Scars, I knew I wanted to get a special subscription box but the question was – which one? I ended up ordering Shelflove Crate and it was not as amazing as my Kingdom of Ash box – but still fun.
Without further ado, here is the King of Scars Shelflove Crate Unboxing! (Kind of sad that the box isn’t themed like the last one, which was so gorgeous.)
Just like the Kingdom of Ash, there is a travel guide that functions as the spoiler card for this box.
I don’t like these, I don’t use them.. the thing in my car uses a magnet to hang on to my phone so I can’t use it for that reason.. and it’s also the contact charging, so I can’t use it for that reason either. Oh well.
Okay, they sent a Rhysand plush one of the only other boxes I’ve received from them and I just don’t get the appeal? I mean he’s cute but I just have to urge to pass it on to one of my cousins (they’re 3, 5, 8, and 9).
Not that I need any more book sleeves, but this one is so pretty, I wish I just had it as artwork.
These coasters are gorgeous! I will definitely be using them.. you know, once I have my own house and stuff.
This ‘chess set’ is a new collectable item that Shelflove Crate is adding to their boxes. It’s a cute idea, but it doesn’t make me want to collect them all – sadly.
This woodmark is gorgeous and I cannot wait to use it!
Also gorgeous tapestry blanket type thing. I honestly never have any idea what to do with these. Are they just for decoration? Because they’re not soft or warm. Maybe I’m not adulting enough yet, I’m just confused.
Here are all of the things that you could have gotten in this box, depending upon the size as well as who made them. I really wish I had received the character cards and the mug, I totally would have traded those for some of my other stuff. (Honestly, I may sell the tapestry blanket, chess pieces, book sleeve, and plush so that I can fund that mug and the character cards. Is that feasible?)
So what did you guys think about this box? Obviously, it’s not a monthly box but a special one-time one, so it will be a little different than what I normally unbox, but I definitely enjoy them.
I don’t know if I can pick a favourite item – maybe the tapestry blanket? But again, I feel like it is wasted on me somewhat? Bookmark or coasters then!
