Forging Silver into Stars

Forging Silver into Stars by Brigid Kemmerer
Forging Silver into Stars, #1
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4)

The biggest appeal of Forging Silver into Stars is returning to the world of the Cursebreakers series. There’s a certain satisfaction in seeing how that world has evolved and getting a fresh perspective through new characters. The plot has a steady pace and a solid mix of political tension, magic, and emotional stakes. While I didn’t connect equally with all of the main POV characters, I was still invested in the story overall. It felt familiar in a comforting way, even though it didn’t totally wow me.

The writing is easy to sink into, and the book balances action and quieter, more personal moments well. This installment doesn’t try to reinvent the genre, but it expands on a beloved world with enough intrigue to keep fans engaged. If you’re a fan of Brigid Kemmerer’s earlier books, particularly A Curse So Dark and Lonely, you’ll likely enjoy this one – though it’s definitely more of a companion series than a standalone.
