I currently have an ARC that I haven’t read yet, does that count? I still plan to, but I’ve just been a little overwhelmed with school stuff and now that I have a break I hope to dive back into things properly.

DNF’d a Book This Year (1/2)

I tend to start reading a book sometimes and just put it aside temporarily for something else. I’ll always pick it back up later, so I don’t count it as a DNF. For example, I started to read Mulan but I had waited to long to pick it up and then I had to return the book to the library. I own the audiobook now though, so I’m hoping to get back to it once I finish my currently library audiobooks. But technically, I have temporarily put Mulan down and would have to count that for now.

Bought a Book Purely Because It Was Pretty With No Intention of Reading It (1/2)

I mean I’ll buy a pretty book, obviously, but never read it? Why would you do that? I will definitely buy multiple copies of a book though and may not end up reading a particular copy that I own (for example, my House specific Harry Potter books or the ones that are leather bound), but I’ll always end up reading the story itself in some form.

Oh for sure. It definitely depends upon the person and how much I trust them with books. Like, do I think you won’t return my book in the same condition that I lent it out to you? Then for sure, I’ll dodge you. You can’t hurt my precious.
