Brooklyn House Magician’s Manual by Rick Riordan
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
It has been so long since I was in the Kane Chronicles world that I was a little worried going into this companion book. As you all know, I’m obsessed with mythology and wanted to see Riordan’s take on this expanded of the mythos so I couldn’t pass it up. I was not disappointed, nor was I incredibly confused by the secondary characters that I did not particularly remember. I think this is readable even if you don’t remember all of the details from the series, although it will be a little spoiler-y. It’s a pretty quick, yet enjoyable read that made me want to re-read the series and experience the Egyptian mythos once more.
