Another Top 5 Tuesday, have you started participating yet? Shanah comes up with some really interesting prompts, so it’s really fun to participate.
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it! Here is a list of her upcoming topics if you’re interested in participating in future Top 5’s! Be sure to check out her top auto-buy authors post here!
Top 5 4 Auto-Buy Authors:
When looking at my bookshelves, there are certain authors that have their own shelves (or two) and that is who made this list for me.
J.K Rowling
Anyone who knows me will see this name and say yup, I 100% know she was going to be on the list. I’ve loved the books since they came to the US, so of course, I own everything she has penned under her own name (or at least have read in the case of the Casual Vacancy). I already have two full shelves of HP books and I have at least two on my Christmas list… uh oh. Shelf three?
Cassandra Clare
I mean guys, I also have two shelves for this urban fantasy queen. I love my Shadowhunters.
Rick Riordan
Did I mention that whole two shelf thing? Yeah…
Sarah J. Maas
Oh oh, one shelf! That’s still a lot of books by one author… gosh. I have a lot of books.
Honourable Mentions:
Leigh Bardugo
Marissa Meyer
These two queens are probably also auto buys, but since neither have an entire shelf dedicated to their books (yet) it was too tough to pick between them.
What did you guys think of my list? Let me know your auto-buy authors in the comments below!
Sarah J Maas is one that I will always buy!

Ahahaha that is amazing when an author can fill up an entire shelf. Man, I didn’t realize Riordan had reached two shelf level. I feel like he just started writing a few years ago, but man, it’s actually been a lot longer. *i am feeling old now* Wonderful list, Kyera! 🙂

Haha oh noooooo you’re not allowed to feel old! I don’t even own all of his books, but I do have some in paperback and hardcover, plus those giant Percy Jackson’s Guide to.. books which take up a lot of space.

Ahahahaha. Okay, that does make it seem a little bit better. XD But gosh, that is still impressive. XD But oh yes, those things are huge!

Great list! I love that you mentioned shelves dedicated to an author. It’s the greatest feeling in the world being able to dedicate space to your favourite author! I just got my copy of Renegades today and was so excited to see that the colours matched nicely with her other books!!
Thanks for participating!

Ahhhh I don’t own it yet! I’ve been trying to find a way to attend Meyer’s event, so I was waiting to get it then. Now I need to go out and buy it!

Nooooooooo! I emailed, called and tweeted to no avail. So sad. They tried to appease me by saying oh we may have some signed copies available after the event and I’m just thinking no. I’m willing to drive to another state to see Marissa Meyer, but to buy a signed book is pushing it a little.

I’m so sorry!!!!! That’s so sad! And no. A drive to another state isn’t worth it for a signed book. To meet her and see her yes!

I clearly need to check out Cassandra Clare – I keep seeing her name all over this link up, amongst other authors I love. I can take a hint!

Haha yes, please check out her work! I just warn you that some people have a hard time getting into the first few books in the Mortal Instruments (even though I adore them) and do better with the Infernal Devices series. I can promise you that her writing just keeps getting better.

Yeah they would totally be my autobuys too (but I’m also missing some books of each of their series).
