Another Top 5 Tuesday, have you started participating yet? Shanah comes up with some really interesting prompts, so it’s really fun to participate.
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it! Here is a list of her upcoming topics if you’re interested in participating in future Top 5’s! Be sure to check out her Book Worlds post here!
Top 5 Retellings:
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Maybe this is a little cheat-y to pick four books, but this entire series is fantastic. They are such a unique take on retellings because Marissa Meyer takes the essence of the fairy tales and infuses them in an immersive science fiction world. But if you make me choose, I pick Cinder and Cress as two of my choices for this Top 5.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
While this isn’t necessarily the most accurate Beauty and the Beast retelling, I love this story and it had to make the list.
Beastly by Alex Flinn
This was the first YA fairy tale retelling that I was exposed to and it made me completely fall in love with them. It is a modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a unique cast of characters (just no enchanted objects.)
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
I completely fell in love with this Arabian Nights retelling and if you haven’t read it yet, what are you waiting for?
What did you guys think of my list? Clearly, I love Beauty and the Beast retellings. What are your favourite retellings? Let me know in the comments below!

Once again it’s so funny how close our lists are! I’ve never heard of Beastly – I may need to look into it!! Thanks again for participating!

Of course! It was easier this week because I had just done once upon a time fandom reads and a lot were the same. I barely even had to think.
I loved that book so much when I first read it, but I worry about rereading it now. But if you do read it, I hope you like it!

Oooooh, these are brilliant choices. ❤ The only one I haven't read is Beastly, but I saw the movie…which we still can't count but still. But I'm with you with the rest of them. Wonderful list!!

We can’t completely count it… but I love Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer and Neil Patrick Harris so you’re forgiven for not having read the book. Yet.

Ahahahaha YAY. I really did enjoy the movie, though. My best friend still has this giant blanket that has regular Alex Pettyfer in Beastly and then Beastly Alex Pettyfer and it still kills me. XD

beauty and the beast retellings are my favourite!! TWATD is so beautiful and heartwarming TLC is pretty fun YA retelling as for ACOTAR the series as a whole is good but the first book isn’t that good for me. I haven’t read beastly though

Have you read any other retellings that you absolutely loved? Personally, ACOMAF is probably my favourite of the three books in the series.
