Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros
The Empyrean, #1
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fourth Wing is the kind of book that grabs you by the collar and doesn’t let go. Fast-paced, emotionally charged, and filled with dragon-fueled danger, this is a highly readable fantasy that leans into familiar tropes — and makes them work. The “deadly school with high-stakes trials” setup is nothing new, but the execution is addictive, the romance sizzles, and the tension never really lets up. It’s written in a punchy, direct style that’s accessible and cinematic, perfect for readers looking to be swept up in a binge-worthy story.
While the world-building isn’t especially deep and some plot points feel predictable, the sheer momentum of the story and the chemistry between characters make up for it. Violet is a compelling lead, and her relationships — both romantic and platonic — are a highlight of the book. If you enjoy fantasy with dragons, morally gray love interests, and a good dose of emotional chaos, Fourth Wing is absolutely worth the hype.
