FairyLoot Unboxing – Memories (April 2020)

I love the artwork for this box!

April Box 2020 - FairyLoot

Memories

The Court of Terrasen Tote Bag

Fairyloot makes high quality tote bags. Whenever I had to carry a ton of books back to the library, I use their witchy tote. I have never once worried about something happening to it. It’s a thick canvas with sturdy straps – so getting a second (let’s be honest, less garish one)? So excited!

Secret Book, Vol. 3

I love these. The first one that I received from them is what I store my tarot cards in. The second one I store my Litjoy playing cards in. What will this one hold?

Emoji Sticky Tabs

Usually when I’m reading a physical book, it’s from the library so I always get excited to receive bookish sticky tabs but never get a chance to use them. That should be one of my 2020 or 2021 reading goals though.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone Washi Tape

Washi tape is awesome. I have a lot, but yet I seem to never know what to do with it. I usually use it to close an envelope (did you know that envelopes and stamps that have the adhesive you have to get wet have gluten on them? So I can’t seal them myself or I’ll get sick).

Memory Vial Pin

I’m always on board for a pretty bookish pin. I actually just bought a few canvas frames at Michaels so my plan is to put up my bookish pins. Let me know if you’d like to see it!

Saint Germain/The Beautiful Pin Banner

Usually pin banners are a nice canvas, but this is the inexpensive material they use to make the bags they send their books in (no idea what that actual material is) so this isn’t as nice as it could have been.

Throne of Glass Tarot Cards – Manon and Dorian

Not enough Abraxos. Unless he’s getting his own card, I’m disappointed by the lack of wyvern. He’s the star.

Incendiary by Zoraida Cordova

I watched her at BookConline this year and I was so excited to dig into this book, I’m happy I got it!

Author Letter and Art Print

My favourite item this month? The tote bag, I love it. But also the book… the tarot card of Manon.. the fake book. Is that too many?

Do you have a favourite item? Have you ever subscribed to FairyLoot before? Let me know in the comments below!

Great Unboxing! The pin was so pretty wasnt it.

I didnt know that about stamps and envelopes, I have celiac disease so I’ll stay away from those from now on!

Same, be careful! I buy the ones with the peel adhesive. I try to think of things that you might not realize like makeup (lipstick for example), moisturizer or shampoo because there’s a chance it’s on your hands or face and that could be harmful. I found that my moisturizer had gluten in it, so I switched.

There are actually service dogs that are trained to detect gluten. I found that so interesting!

Wow that’s amazing! I was diagnosed in March 2019 and then my son in September 2019, took a little longer for him as he has an IGA deficiency which masked the TTG results. I’ve actually been fine since apart from 2 glutenings but my son has had no end of issues.

Oh no! I’m sorry to read that. It’s tough being super sensitive. My aunt has celiac, but she doesn’t react to the cross contamination. My mom (we believe) is just gluten intolerant, so she avoids gluten but doesn’t worry about cross contamination, because it doesn’t make her sick. Whereas I get sick from any level of cross contamination. Everyone is different! Hopefully, you guys figure out the best way to keep yourselves safe and healthy 🙂

Absolutely! I have very few restaurants that I trust, so I barely go out to eat. Sometimes someone will convince me to try a new place because they swear they’re sooo careful. Pizza place: they’ll cut my dad’s pizza, turn to mine and cut it with the same pizza cutter, then wonder why I tell them I’m sorry but I can’t eat that now. And prove to me if they’re using the same cutting tools, they’re using the same things to cook/bake on. Not safe guys. You’re jumping on a trend, rather than taking people’s health seriously.

I hate eating out, it’s made me so paranoid.
