Books That Made Me Laugh – Top 5 Tuesday

It has been and will continue to be a very unique and trying time for everyone – so Shanah adapted her topics for this month and I hope they are helpful for you – I mean books that make you laugh? That’s probably necessary right now.

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it! Don’t forget to check out her upcoming topics if you’re interested in participating in future Top 5’s! Be sure to check out her topics here!

Books That Made Me Laugh:

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzie Lee

This was more quippy and funny, than legitimately laugh out loud but I definitely laughed during it.

Amazon.com: City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments Book 1) eBook ...

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Jace is funny because of his dry wit and I love these books because of it.

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand et al

This was so ridiculous and funny, you should read it if you haven’t.

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

This was more of an awkward, cute, funny – but still made me laugh/smile.

Simon Versus the Homosapiens Agenda/The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

I think Upside was funnier, but Simon was better?

Omg yes to My Lady Jane! I always forget about it, but it was so funny!! I definitely think a reread is in order especially because I’ve been needing some funnies.

I hardly ever read books that make me laugh, probably because I have a tendency towards reading downers instead. A couple of the ones that did crack me up recently were ‘Notes from the Internet Apocalypse,’ ‘Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops,’ and ‘The Beautiful Poetry of Donald Trump.’ 🙂
