Owlcrate Unboxing – Music of the Night (March 2020)

Has anyone else seen the Phantom of the Opera (movie or musical version)? I was excited when I saw the theme and knew what book they had to be including – what other YA book about a musician was coming out than this one?

Music of the Night

Owlcrate Socks

My mom keeps calling them Hedwig socks.

Wintersong Inspired Candle

This smells soooo nice: winter berries, peach, yuzu, pear and fresh air.

Owlcrate Wireless Speaker

Surprisingly good sound for a little speaker, I used it the day I made candles and bath bombs with my best friend and mom for my birthday.

Ex Libris Book Labels

I love the idea of labels for my books, but I don’t know if I could actually ever add them to books.

Monsters of Verity Wood Art

This pretty piece of art and typography is actually made of wood, so that makes it super unique!

Bella’s Lullaby Mint Chocolate Chip Lip Scrub

I don’t like chocolate, so definitely going to pass on this lip scrub.

Phantom of the Opera Art Print

You can ignore my random daggers… just needed them to keep the print down since it was so curled from the cardboard cylinder it was sent it and I could not get it to lay flat even after leaving it out.

Pin

Music of the Night Enamel Pin

Clearly inspired by the Kingdom of Back and I love it.

The Book

The Kingdom of Back by Marie Lu
(Owlcrate Exclusive)

I think the brighter blue of the book is really magical looking and the sprayed silver pages? Gorgeous. Do you know what else is gorgeous? Her signature. I wish I could write like that.

Spoiler Card

I love that they include playlists now and I add them every month, they’re a cool and unique addition to the box.

Unboxing

Obviously the book is the best item in this box, but that candle smells delicious.

Do you have a favourite item in the box? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I have seen both musical and movie, and I adore it so muchhhhhhh. I had thought about it for that exact reason, but decided to pass on it because I wasn’t a big fan of it. I do love that art print, and you’re going to love the book. Great unboxing as always!
