Wait, I’m supposed to remember what books are under 300 pages off the top of my head?! Thankfully Goodreads has the ability to sort by number of pages. I skipped graphic novels and only went with books for this one, which is surprisingly tough! I actually picked up a few that were just over 300 pages, so I would have failed at this without Goodreads.

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
I’m pretty sure all of the books in the Chronicles of Narnia count and this could be a Narnia appreciation post, but I try to diversify my lists.

Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo
This gorgeous book has beautiful illustrations on the inside and they’re spooky fairytales, what’s not to love?

Sightwitch by Susan Dennard
It’s kind of a story and mostly a world building novella, so I’m 100% on board.

The Shadowhunter’s Codex by Cassandra Clare
I love the hilarious comments from the characters scribbled all throughout this book. It gives it an extra touch of personalization and humor.

City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab
This was just an interesting middle grade novel and I’m intrigued to see where Schwab takes it.
