These are tough because most tropes if done well can be fun – but sometimes enough is enough.

Tropes I’ve Had Enough Of:
I’d rather not have to debate between which two love interests are going to prevail? I’m sorry, but if you think you love two people at the same time… then you probably don’t actually love either of them.
Yes, you can have flaws and not always be super courageous, but the constant damsel in distress trope? I’m tired of it. I like girls who stand up for themselves.
Please no. Yes, your life can be enhanced, made more fun, more exciting, etc because of a guy – but like… be secure enough in your life that it isn’t just utterly changed because of said guy? I am not explaining it well, but I hope you understand.
Yes, they can be done well. But I’d rather the average protagonist have to step up and prove that they are capable, rather than just being the mystical Chosen One. I want anyone to have been able to triumph, but only this person (or group) stepped up and made it happen.
I want to see more healthy family dynamics, less dysfunctional ones or a protagonist who has dead family members just as a plot point.
