New Year’s Book Tag

It’s that time of year again… when you spend the next eight months writing 2017 on everything and by the time you finally get a hang of it… it’s 2019! I hope you guys all had a wonderful holiday season and have a great 2018.

I found this tag on the Internet, but there was no creator. If anyone knows who made this tag up, I’d love to be able to link them!

How many books are you planning to read in 2018?

I made my goal 100 books, which is a little worrisome. I’m starting school again soon and I need to get a second job to be able to attempt to afford it.. so I’m afraid that I’m going to have almost zero time to read. I hope that’s not true.

Name 5 books you didn’t get to this year, but want to make a priority in 2018?

  1. Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas

  2. Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling (and the rest of the series)

  3. Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan

  4. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

  5. Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

What genre do you want to read more of?

Historical fiction, although I don’t read a lot of them I usually end up enjoying the books.

Name 3 non-book related goals for 2018.

  1. Get (or at least apply for) scholarships for school.
  2. Pay my mom back for my car.
  3. Be hired for a job that will help me pay for school.

What’s a book you’ve had forever that you still need to read?

Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin

One word that you’re hoping 2018 will be:

Calm.

I Tag:

Anyone who wants to do this tag, I know people are still probably busy from the holidays so I don’t want to overwhelm anyone.

I know, I sat there thinking for so long for a word and then just decided on “calm”. Sometimes that’s all you need. Thanks!

Scholarships take so long to do, but they are worth it in the end. I haven’t gotten to the end part yet though XD

Wow, Kyera, it sounds like 2018 is going to be quite a busy year for you!! Here’s hoping for all the best! Can’t wait to see how it goes and what bright new things will be coming your way – hopefully that includes lots of time for reading somehow?? I actually did manage to squeeze in some time in between classes, so hopefully that could work? And I never realized you never read Tower of Dawn. Intriguing. Wonderful tag! ❤

Yeah, I decided that I wanted to re-read the entire throne of glass series before I read it and then all of the stuff I requested from the library just kept coming in so I had obviously read those before my physical copy of Tower of Dawn. I finally have one physical book left out of the library and currently do not have any audiobooks left, so it’s next on my list once I finish Ringer…

Lol you’re attempting Ringer again? I wish you luck with it. It gets so tempting I’m sure with all the library books you can get.

I checked it in and checked it back out immediately from my library, so it was the last book I had left from that huge set of books that came in at the same time. I kept putting it off but now it’s the one I want to finish next. I never DNF books.

Oh, good luck on reading 100 books this year! I feel you on that; I’m planning to read 200 this year, and I failed doing it last year, but I’m positive for this year! And I hope school works out for you as well! 😄

I also need to read Tower Of Dawn! And Empire of Storms. WHY AM I SO BEHIND. 🙈 I would also like 2018 to be calm, but that’s more a wish for me than anything. 😂
