Beauty and the Beast Book Tag

This tag was created by Kirsty and the Cat Read. I found it on Mandy’s page and definitely stole it from her. You can check out the Book Princess’s opinions here.

Tale As Old As Time: A Popular Theme, Trope or Setting You Will Never Get Bored of Reading

Magic? I wanted to cheat and say fantasy, but I thought maybe magic would be an actual real answer?

Belle: A Book You Bought For Its Beautiful Cover That’s Just As Beautiful On The Inside Too

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

It’s definitely a gorgeous book, both in hardcover and paperback.

Beast: A Book That You Didn’t Expect Much From But Pleasantly Surprised You

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand

I am always pleasantly surprised when I read a historical fiction novel and enjoy it, which is silly because it’s probably just because I don’t read them very often and don’t realize that I actually enjoy them?

Gaston: A Book Everyone Loves That You Don’t

The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater?

It just didn’t jive.

LeFou: A Loyal Sidekick You Can’t Help But Love More Than Their Counterpart

So many, but I’m going to go with my adorable little wyvern Abraxos. I just imagine a slightly more beat-up Toothless in my head and I’m in love. I also tend to love the animal characters 100x’s more than the people ones. That’s okay, right?

Mrs. Potts, Chip, Lumiere, and Cogsworth: A Book That Helped You Through a Difficult Time or Taught You Something Valuable

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

You guys knew it had to make its way onto this list somewhere.

Something There: A Book or Series You Weren’t Into At First But Picked up Towards the End

The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater

This is my most recent. So many people rave about this series and I was tagged for the Raven Cycle Tag. Just like I don’t like to watch a movie before reading a book, I decided that I wanted to at least read the first book before I did the tag. I wasn’t feeling it, but I decided to give the second book a chance and ended up liking it so much more.

Be Our Guest: A Fictional Character You’d Love to Have Over For Dinner

Can I invite Jace (whatever the heck his last name is, I can’t say without potentially spoiling people who haven’t read the whole series, dang it this is a long last name – last name) over for dinner where he falls madly in love with me, we get married and live happily ever after? Good. That then.

I Tag –

Again, I’m going to cop out with NaNoWriMo and tag everyone? Since I stole it and wasn’t tagged myself. Please do it if it sounds interesting!

Still need to read My Lady Jane. I didn’t expect it to be all that great either so I never picked it up. But literally every review said it’s hilarious and really great so I got it a few months ago…. I hope to pick it up soon!

Oh it’s definitely a fun, inaccurate romp through history. Plus the next book is coming out in 2018!

Luckily it doesn’t come out until June so I have time to get to this one 😂

I love all your answers. I agree The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh cover was beautiful and the story was so well written. I like the story-telling aspect of the book but they did get a little boring at times. Her writting style though was what keep me reading it though. I think I will be doing this wonderful tag!

I do that as well with historical fiction. I don’t realize how much I actually enjoy it until I am reading it. XD I think we just assume it might be boring? Glad that the evolution happened with The Raven Boys and you ended up liking it a lot more. And yay for an appearance of Jace. 😉 And magic is always the answer?? Wonderful answers, Kyera, and I loved reading this!

ALSO. Have you checked out the signed books list from Barnes and Noble? I’m so confused on what to do now with them. XD

You’re right, magic is always the answer.

Oh wait what?! They have the list already? Oh man I need to go find that. I had to take my Grandma to bed bath and beyond for K-Cups, but I’m going to look as soon as I get back home.

        YESSSSSSSSS.

And yes! The link is http://www.bn.com/signededitions. I’m in some major decisions, and I forced my friend to talk me down off the edge. A decent YA selection. AND A CERTAIN YOU KNOW WHO.

Oh for sure. If they have the 20% off coupon like before, you basically need to bring friends so you can buy a bunch of the books you want.

Ahahaha oh gosh. I’ll have to see if I can grab a few people. I’m super debating about that Renegades copy.

Oh me too, I am so torn between having a signed copy and hopefully, maybe getting this special target edition on sale on Black Friday.

Oooooh, that’s a good idea, too. I saw they were going to have 50% off some books then, and I’m intrigued to see what they put out. Ugh, why must they do this to us??

Hmm 🤔 I mean in the past the 50% off were those really big expensive books that are normally like $50? Oh hey, here’s this giant book all about Outlander or Game of Thrones or Harry Potter. Those. But I would also love to see some of their regular books (or the leatherbounds) 50% off.

I controlled myself for the most part in the deals. Did you do any shopping yet or will it start tomorrow for you?

I bought Wonder Woman on dvd from Amazon, that’s it so far. I have to go to target tomorrow because my mom and I are upgrading our phones, so unfortunately have to be out in the mad rush. I’m hoping because so much is online now it won’t be too crazy? 🤞 Plus Barnes and Noble is the same place, so I’ll stop there. Buy the Christmas, then I have work. So no crazy shopping for me.

Ooooh that’s good, Kyera! 😀 But oh gosh. I super wish you luck with that. D: I’m hoping the same thing! A lot of people are switching to online, so hopefully it will be nice and chill. And I hope you manage to get something good with Barnes. Renegades and Language will be there signed D:

I already have Language actually from when they did their 2/$20 sale and it was signed. 💜 I went there after target (I may or may not have gotten a new phone 😁) and bought Renegades. Plus the leather bound books were 50% off so I bought them on behalf of my dad to give to me. 😂
