I did this type of post a few months ago, but guess what? I’ve pre-ordered more books since then! (Plus there’s a cool pre-order promo, or two, I wanted to tell you guys about.)
Ready for the books? I am ready for it to be autumn because that’s when I receive these beauties.
Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo
Fulfillment: Sometime September 2017
Leigh Bardugo is a queen and Wonder Woman is a goddess, so together this book is going to be incredible. I donated to the Kickstarter for the Boston Teen Author Festival and got to select a signed book from one of the authors who would be attending and had donated a book – of course, I picked Wonder Woman. I am so excited to be receiving a signed copy! (But I definitely won’t be waiting another month to read this, I already requested it from my library.)
There’s a pre-order promo for Wonder Woman from Underlined here, where you can get a limited-edition print of the book’s characters.
Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas
September 5th, 2017
This book has been in my Amazon cart forever, I just hadn’t ordered it yet – until I saw there was a pre-order promotion. Yes, please. I pre-ordered ACOTAR and got a gorgeous map, so of course, within three minutes of seeing the promo on Twitter I had ordered the book. No regrets.
You can check out the promotion here – just keep in mind that some retailers have different special versions of the book so you might want to check those out before immediately ordering from your regular bookstore.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling
October 3rd, 2017
This is the illustrated edition and I can’t wait to see the gorgeous art in it. The first two books in the series are already out (and on my shelf) so this one was a must buy.
City of Bones (10th Anniversary Edition) by Cassandra Clare
November 7th, 2017
I obviously need to own every copy of City of Bones that exists and a special 10th Anniversary Edition is announced? Yes, I immediately ordered it. According to Amazon it has “new cover art, gilded edges, over thirty interior illustrations, and six new full-page color portraits of everyone’s favorite characters! This beautifully crafted collector’s item also includes four bonus stories that have previously only appeared in limited distribution, and—best of all—a new piece written by Cassandra Clare.” Yes, please.
There are also some cool pre-order promos out there that I figured I’d mention as well even if I haven’t bought the books (yet). I’m sure there are tons more out there and you should definitely search around. Sometimes there are really cool bookish items being offered.
- The Dazzling Heights by Katharine McGee – makeup bag
- If There’s No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout – postcard, bookmark, sticker, canvas pouch
Have you pre-ordered any of these books yourself? Are there any coming out soon that I missed and need? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
