It’s official, as of today I have less than two weeks left in Guyana. It’s so crazy! Soon I’ll be home (maybe getting a computer for myself so I can stop writing half of these on my phone) and then I can be around all of my beautiful physical books. Oh plus, I’ll finally get to open the (fake subscription) book boxes that my mom made me for my birthday!
Books I Reviewed This Week:
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
This was such a cute book and I loved the diverse representation in it. It is so nice to see more POC main characters in YA books. You can read my review here.
Alex and Eliza by Melissa de la Cruz
This was an adorable YA historical fiction based upon the (know well known) romance between Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler – you can read my review here.
A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi
I ended up liking this book a lot more than a Star-Touched Queen, but you can check out my review and thoughts here.
The Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love by Sarvenaz Tash
I loved that this book took place at NYCC because it spoke to my fandom loving heart. You can read my review here!
Books I Read This Week:
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
This book is everything. You can read my review next week for more.
Amina’s Voice by Hena Khan
This is such a beautiful middle-grade novel about life, religion and friendship. You can read my review next week.
Thirteen Reason’s Why by Jay Asher
After watching the Netflix series, I knew I had to read this book. You can read my review next week (or maybe the week after… I have a lot of reviews scheduled.)
City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
I love this book so much, but you’ll have to wait a bit for this review. Sorry guys.
Currently Reading:
The Circle by Dave Eggers
Wizarding World Series:
Uagadou
This week I talked about the books that students from Uagadou might enjoy. We learn so little about the Wizarding School that makes its home in Africa – but I always wanted to learn more. Be sure to read that post here!
Other Bookish Posts:
YA Summer Reads Bingo
I’ve always wanted to do one of the book bingo’s that people talk about, so I thought why not make my own? You can check it out here and let me know if you join in!
