I mean seriously, what else can you expect from a bibliophile and book blogger? Books are my life.

My Family

Even though I’m an only child, I come from a big family (my mom is one of 7). Most of us live in the same state, so every holiday is pretty packed full of people I love. I don’t know how other families are, but we spend every holiday together. I am so thankful for my family and they definitely make me happy!

My Best Friend

I was just thinking about it and we’ve been friends for almost 9 years now, that seems crazy. It’ll be even crazier when I can say that we’ve been friends for an entire decade!

Fandom

This is probably slightly cheaty because it’s a pretty broad category but the things I fangirl over make me super happy.

Disney

The most magical place (and movies and music..) on Earth? Yes, please. It’s made me happy ever since I was little and my mom would constantly have Disney music playing. She put me in this airplane type swing hung from the doorframe in the kitchen so I would run and fly/soar through the air to the music. I don’t remember it, but it sounds amazing. You can fly, you can fly, you can fly!

I’ll Make A Man Out of You – Donny Osmand (Mulan)

This is the ultimate pump up song, for me at least.

Hedwig’s Theme – John Williams (Harry Potter)

John Williams’ brilliant score and this iconic theme always bring me wonderful memories of my favourite book series (as well as the fantastic movies.)

La La Land – Demi Lovato

My best friend and I used to sing Demi in high school all the time, so this song brings back memories and makes me happy, for sure.

Told You So – Paramore

This is the song I’ve recently been obsessed with and I’ve been singing it non-stop.

Carry On Wayward Son – Kansas

I love classic rock and this is one of my favourites. Dust in the Wind is beautiful, but I don’t think you could consider the music happy.. so I think Carry On is a better choice. (As I sing Carry On Wayward Son and probably make my neighbors here think I’m crazy. I don’t think the Guyanese know classic rock. It’s quite sad.)
