I was super excited to get this box because it’s all things wizardry and house pride! According to JK/Pottermore, I am a Ravenclaw/Thunderbird or Thunderclaw, because that just sounds impressive. Personally, I believe that I am a Gryffinclaw. I don’t think we know enough about the Ilvermorny Houses yet. This box was themed for Hogwarts House Pride so you could choose between Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. I chose Ravenclaw, so please join me on this magical unboxing journey! (The video is linked at the bottom of this post, if you wish to watch it.)
Just like Newt’s suitcase, this box has a Muggle-Worthy lock although being a wizard I was not concerned.
The inside of the box has these wonderful little icons and the Sorting Hat ready to send you off in style to your House for the school year. I mean, even this box is precious.
The first thing I see is this Loot Crate Exclusive Hogwarts Crest 3/4 sleeve shirt in grey and black. I love the colours, the crest and will be wearing this all the time.
It’ll a little late in the year for a winter hat, but I look forward to wearing it in about 7 months. It’s officially Spring even though it’s currently 46 degrees out (and feels like 38) where I’m from. Since I’m not currently home, I’m looking at my 85-degree weather (and feels like 91) and not ready for a winter hat. I love the hat (and I know not everyone will agree with me) but I kind of wish it had a festive little pom-pom on top. The hat is also a Loot Crate exclusive.
Next is a Ravenclaw duffle bag. It’s not huge, more of a small/medium size which is nice for overnight trips or going to the gym. I personally wouldn’t carry a duffel bag as my carry-on item, but this would be nice for that as well. And… Loot Crate exclusive as well.
I officially have a ticket for the Hogwarts Express! It’s tiny and came with this adorable Platform 9 3/4 lanyard. You could put your keys on it, or even pins that you collect if you go to Universal and immerse yourself in the Wizarding World.
The Loot Crate Exclusive pin is the absolutely perfect Sorting Hat! I haven’t started collecting Harry Potter pins, yet, but I definitely plan to. (I have so many Disney Parks pins from my trips.)
Here’s the box as a whole:
I am absolutely in love with this box and definitely recommend it! I am so happy that we got some cool house-specific items as well as exclusive Harry Potter items. It’s so tough, but I think that the shirt might be my favourite item. My mom recorded the crate being unboxed for me (since it’s at my house not here with me in PC), so here is the link if you wish to watch it!
By the way, you can sign up for Loot Crate here and you will receive $5 off. The next theme for the Wizarding World box is the Dark Arts – so if you’re a fan of Dolores Umbridge (seriously, who are you?), Sirius Black, the Malfoy Family, Percival Graves, or Death Eaters this box is for you. It looks like it will feature the darker side of not only the Harry Potter era, but Fantastic Beasts as well.
Loot Crate’s description states: “There’s a darker side of magic and we’re exploring its depths with exclusively-created collectibles, apparel, replicas, and more showcasing the people, places, creatures, and things associated with the Dark Arts of the Wizarding World.” They are accepting orders through May 3rd, so if you’re interested be sure to click the link!
I hope you enjoyed this unboxing, have a magical day!
