First, I would like to apologize for my disappearance the last week or two. When you rely on phone data to keep you connected and it stubbornly refuses to work at all… it’s impossible to post. Fear not, I continued reading – unfortunately, I was so frustrated by my data that I didn’t write any reviews because I had no idea when I’d be connected again. I read the Shades of Magic series by V.E. Schwab, the Red Rising Trilogy by Pierce Brown and Daughter of the Pirate King – all of which I loved. I promise that I will review at least a few of them, although I may do a review for the series as a whole. It’s time again for the cutest award to arrive on the blog atmosphere! LOOK AT THE KITTY IN THE SHIP. IT’S SO CUTE.
Second, I want to know what this award is. Who thought of this complicated and seemingly random award with an adventurous sea-faring feline?
I would love to thank @Book Princess Reviews for the nomination! She is a lovely human being and nominates me way more than I deserve. So go give her some love.
RULES
- Anybody nominated can nominate eight other bloggers.
- The nominee answers three questions posed by the nominator.
- The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions.
- If any of the questions asked are offensive or the nominee simply does not want to answer, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.
Book Princess Reviews’ Questions
If you could frame one book cover as a work of art, what would it be?
So many books have gorgeous covers that I would honestly frame quite a few of them. At this exact moment, I believe I would frame the new Wonder Woman: Warbringer cover because I need some Wonder Woman art in my life (which I will be purchasing at Comic Con in August) and that cover is incredible. WW is my idol. By the way, I asked Leigh Bardugo if she’d be touring for the book – and she is. That made my week and I will 100% be there, even if it’s quite far away.
Suprise! There’s a book on your doorstep. What is it and why?
I’m going to cheat and pretend it’s a book “subscription” box on my doorstep. I was telling my mom about one I wanted (Owlcrate’s Run Away With the Circus, which I unboxed here) and the wonderful human being that she is said that she was going to make me special “subscription” boxes for my birthday, although I won’t get to open them until I officially go home in July. (Seriously 101 days left, ahaahhhhh!) She pre-ordered Lord of Shadows and A Court of Wings and Ruin. She’s amazing, right? So that would be the book on my doorstep in a wonderful box full of either Shadowhunter or Fae goodies because my mom is the best. I. Can’t. Wait.
If you could set a book in any setting, what country would it be and why?
Atlantis. That’s actually where the book I’m currently writing is set.. okay it’s less writing and more obsessively world building while I figure out exactly what I want my plotline to be. I have a general idea but no clue how to fill in the story between the beginning and the end. I’ve been obsessed with the idea of Atlantis since I saw the movie (that no one seems to appreciate) and even had a Shepard’s Journal that I used to help me learn Atlantean.
Thank you so much for nominating me, reading my rambling posts and please everyone go check her out!
Tag…you’re all it? I am seriously the worst at this because I feel like I always nominate the same people. They totally deserve it, but I definitely need to find more blogs to read and follow. Any suggestions? But please feel free to answer the questions in your own blog, or in the comments below!
My Questions:
- What is your favourite song to write to (or do you need silence to focus)?
- Which book villain do you love to hate and why?
- If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
