The Versatile Blogger Award

Hey guys, I was nominated by Rendz from ReadingWithRendz for the Versatile Blogger Award! I am honoured and thankful for this – so please got check out the blog here and be sure to give some love.

The rules:

1.) Display the award on your blog.

2.) Thank the blogger that nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

3.) Share 7 facts about yourself.

4.) Nominate 10 bloggers for the award and provide links to their blog.

7 Facts about Kyera (that are mostly not book related, just to be different)

1.) I am a singer, but I am also super introverted and hate being the centre of attention. Yeah. Not a great combination, but I’m working on it. My dream would be to give a Disney character (lets be honest, princess/heroine) her singing voice like Lea Salonga did for Mulan and Jasmine, my two favourite princesses.

2.) I really enjoy sharing my love of books with others (and I hope to start a booktube channel when I get back to the US). It’s such a wonderful community that I would love to join and hope accepts me. Recently, I’ve been daydreaming about my future bookshelf, how I want to organize my books and all of the books that I haven’t gotten physical copies of since I’ve been here. (I’ve had to read everything digitally. Books don’t fare well in this humid environment.)

3.) I love video games. On Black Friday, I got an Xbox One so I cannot wait to get the chance to use it when I get home. Witcher 3… Tomb Raider.. Love. Can the new Kingdom Hearts game come out already? I’ve been waiting for soooo long for it to be on a console that’s not Playstation.

4.) I am a huge fan of comics as well and I’m going to go to Boston Comic Con this August. When I visited home last year, I attended 2016’s Comic Con with my best friend and it was so much fun. I even got to meet Jenna Louise Coleman. It was not my first con, as I’d gone to Boston’s twice before. In 2014, my best friend and I went as Clary and Izzy from the Shaowhunters/Mortal Instruments series. I’ve also attended as Lara Croft and it was super fun making her bow out of branches and twine, like the video game. This year, I’ll be going as Wonder Woman. (Anyone else super excited for Leigh Bardugo’s upcoming novel?)

The costume I’m making will probably be inspired by this version of Wonder Woman.

5.) With only four months left of my Peace Corps service, I’m starting to look forward and I just booked a trip to Walt Disney World. I’m so excited! I’ll be going in Autumn so that I can attend the Halloween party (going as Belle, of course) and maybe even catch EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival. I want to try to plan out some Disneybounds for it (when you dress sort-of inspired by a character, but not in an actual costume) because I’ve seen so many cute ideas online and want to try some myself.

6.) My favourite colour is yellow.

7.) I built a library here in Guyana for my school, organized books, painted, and yeah. I’m really proud of it. I hope the kids can enjoy it for a very long time. Maybe once everything is finished (I’m waiting on another 2-3 barrels of books to arrive) I will post some pictures of it – if you guys are interested.

I can get a little rambly, gosh. Sorry guys. Hope that didn’t bore you too much. There are so many amazing blogs that deserve this award, but I’m super late to the game and almost everyone that I’ve gone to add has already done it – so I would like to nominate all of you because everyone deserves to be recognized for the hard work and love they put into their blogs. You guys are amazing. Seriously.

Thank you for reading, if you could find yourself living in the world of any one book what would it be? I can’t wait to find out.

Thank you so much! If that dream ever comes true, I’ll be sure to post it here. My experience has been truly unique and definitely memorable. It doesn’t feel like I’ve been here for almost 23 months already.
