My Year in Books – 2019

I was inspired by the “My Year in Books” page on Goodreads in years past and decided to continue my wrap up for the year!

Totals

I read 27,794 pages across 101 books

I know other people track their page numbers, but I’d never done that in the past and I’m always amazed by what this tells me! Also, I accidentally tracked three children’s picture books that I read for class so even though my Goodreads technically says 104 books I didn’t want to count them (which means I don’t actually know which book was shortest.)

My Average Rating for 2019

4.1 Stars

I know I tend to rate things a 4/5, so I’m not surprised. I’m trying to be a little more critical of books that I don’t love, but still feel guilty rating any books as a 3. I’ve gotten better though, I think!

HOLY MACKEREL! Supernova has an average 4.48 stars on goodreads? That’s practically unheard of, especially for a YA series, and especially especially for a YA series which has such mixed opinions (everyone thought it was “too slow”).
