Opposites Book Tag

Mandy from Book Princess Reviews tagged me for this and you can read her answers here!

First book in your collection/Last book you bought

Like the first book I bought myself? Because otherwise it would be a children’s book and at the age of like one day old… there’s no way I would remember that.

The last book I bought was the Collector’s Edition of A Conjuring of Light by Victoria Schwab.

A cheap book/An expensive book

I would say any books I’ve gotten from the library for $0.50 or for free? There are a lot of those.

The most expensive book(s) I’ve bought are the Waterstones Exclusive Editions of the Dark Artifices series by Cassandra Clare because they’re in pounds and the shipping is insane.

A book with a male protagonist/One with a female protagonist

I think the last book I read with a male protagonist was Aurora Rising? Does it count because there are so many characters, I don’t know…

The last book that I read with a female protagonist is the Girl the Sea Gave Back (also has a male protagonist, I feel like they share the spotlight). So let’s go with that for both!

A book you read fast/One that took you long to read

I speed through Harry Potter when I read it because I love it and it’s so comforting… versus I still haven’t picked up Lady Midnight to finish it and it’s legitimately been 10 months. The audiobook is just so bad that I can’t and I keep forgetting to read the actual book… but that’s a really long time to read, haha.

Pretty cover/Ugly cover

Sorcery of Thorns is my current cover obsession, I mean look at it! But there have also been some pretty terrible covers out there.

A national book/An international book

These Witches Don’t Burn by Isabel Sterling is a recent ‘national’ read of mine.

I just read Bob by Wendy Mass for class and that takes place in Australia (it’s also super cute, except I was let down by the ending.)

A thin book/A thick book

I have to read a lot of children’s books for class, so they’re pretty tiny (like the aforementioned Bob).

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas was pretty giant.

Fiction book/Non-fiction book

Literally everything that I read is fiction… I can’t even remember the last non fiction book I read.

Very (way too) romantic book/Action book

Image result for grace and fury

I won’t say it’s way too romantic, but Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart would have been better if there was no romance at all. Give me the feminism and girl power, not the pining and sappy looks. It just wasn’t developed enough for me, so I think it wasn’t necessary.

The Girl the Sea Gave Back by Adrienne Young was pretty action-y.

A book that made you happy/One that made you sad

Most books make me happy, but I recently loved Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim and will forever be saddened by Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

I’ve just been trying to catch up on all of my tags, so I haven’t really been tagging people since I can’t remember who has done any of these before and who hasn’t – but if it seems interesting, then I’ll love to read your responses! And let me know if you would have any of the same answers in the comments below!

Oooh I loved reading your answers, Kyera! And it’s outrageous for the Waterstones/UK exclusive stuff. I mean, it just needs to get across the sea or SOMETHING. But seriously, there are so many cool ones and it’s insane how much money paid for the pretty book. Wonderful post, Kyera!! 🙂

That first question- seriously the first book in our collection will be hard to remember.

All of my reads are usually fiction. But rarely read nonfiction

Right? Is it a kids book I might still have… the first book I bought myself… so many options, how could anyone know?

The most latest- that is the easiest. We are much older by that point.
