Books I Don’t Talk About Enough – Top 5 Tuesday

I definitely will gush over certain books or series, a lot, but there are others that I don’t give enough love – so that’s what we’re talking about today!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it! Don’t forget to check out her upcoming topics if you’re interested in participating in future Top 5’s! Be sure to check out her topics here!

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue
by Mackenzie Lee

Historical fiction hilarity? Count me in.

Children of Blood and Bone
by Tomi Adeyemi

Fantasy book based on a mythology/religion that I wasn’t super familiar with? I’m here to learn.

Furyborn by Claire Legrand

Two strong female characters battling evil forces 1,000 years apart? Yes, please.

Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart

Two sisters who will do anything for one another and maybe even break the world to save each other? Yes.

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

Beautiful prose, magic, and a character as obsessed with ‘mythical’ worlds as me? I am here.

Are there any books or series that you don’t rave about enough? Do you also love some of the ones that I brought up? Let me know in the comments!

Great choices! I’ve only read Grace and Fury so far, but everything else is on my TBR.

I really liked it. I liked one sister more in the beginning and then didn’t like her as much at the end. It’s always cool for me when my perspective and feelings change about a character throughout the book.

That’s exactly how I felt about it! It definitely speaks to the author doing a good job building her characters and having them change realistically over the course of the book.

I was so close to adding Children of Blood and Bone to my list today. I LOVED that book so much but for some reason I don’t talk about it all that often. I think it’s because it was so hyped that I assume people already know about it. Dying for the sequel though!!

Oh yeah, I’m excited for the sequel as well! I can’t believe we had to wait extra long for it, so I hope it’s amazing!
