FairyLoot Unboxing – Unlikely Romances (May 2019)

Was it unlikely that I got this box? No. Definitely not. FairyLoot has also been working to lower shipping costs to the US, since so many of their customers are from there – and they were finally successful. You can check out there post about it here! Long story short, they’re in the US now and Fairyloot will officially become my favourite (and more affordable) YA book subscription box. Enjoy!

Unlikely Romances

As usual, I keep calling this the wrong name… in my head it will be forever and always unexpected romances.

Ignite Me Travel Mug – KDP Letters

This travel mug is actually made from bamboo, which is super cool! It’s just really tiny. It’s probably hard to have a reference, but it’s about 6 inches tall.

Starfall Candle

I will honestly say that I did not expect Starfall to smell like bamboo, lilies, and woody notes…

Girls of Paper and Fire Notepad

This gorgeous book is on my shelf, but I still haven’t read it – so I think this paper is pretty, but it’s just a notepad, nothing I want to shout from the rooftops about.

Character Bookmarks
The Wrath and the Dawn and the Flame in the Mist

Look how pretty Shazi is!!

Mints

I don’t think I ever expected to get mints in a book subscription box. Also a little underwhelmed.

The Cruel Prince Crown Keychain

Love this crown and wish that it wasn’t a keychain because hello #bookstagram, so guess who will be taking this apart?

The Selection Tea Towel

What exactly is the function of a pretty tea towel? Like guys, if it’s pretty (and especially if it is white) I’m not going to want to use it. Also, the way the words are laid out – you totally are prone to reading the quote in the wrong order and it making no sense. Or was that just me?

Daughter of Smoke and Bone Pencil/Makeup Pouch

Very pretty and shall be employed as a new pencil case (and by pencil I mean my myriad coloured pens that I carry with me everywhere).

Malec Sticker

Why was this gorgeous art relegated to a tiny sticker that I have no idea what to do with? Guys, why?!

Six of Crows Tarot Cards

I’ve been waiting for these for a while and I am so happy that I have them. Look at my babies together!

The Beholder by Anna Bright

I’ve never seen blush pink sprayed pages before, so that’s cool! I hope I love the book.

Character Art from The Beholder

Super pretty art. I want her dress.

I love the tarot cards, but overall I was kind of underwhelmed by a number of these items. Fairyloot, what’s going on?!

Thanks! I love the art too, I just wish it was on something more tangible or permanent than a sticker. It deserves to be highlighted more.

A magnet would have been nice. Or maybe a print. I never have anyplace to put stickers, but I still like getting them.

Oh yeah, a magnet would be cool.. but I still don’t really have a place for that. Haha.

My fridge is pretty packed, but I have been putting some of the smaller ones on my TBR cart. I was thrilled when I saw that they would stick there.

Ooooh this was a great unboxing, Kyera!! I’m so excited that Fairyloot has a US home finally, because I’ve officially been eyeing some stuff. The second Girls of Paper and Fire exclusive is so pretty, and your unboxings always give me so much desire to go for a Fairyloot box. Wonderful post, Kyera!! 🙂

Oh yes, it looks gorgeous! I definitely have my eye on it even though I haven’t read the first one yet 😅 so many books, so little time!

The first one is super super good. You are going to absolutely love the world. It’s definitely lush and so so magical. It’s a bit of a dense read, though, so it might take a bit of time. 😭😅

Oh gosh, yeah, dense doesn’t sound like you but if you still enjoyed it then it must be good!

Ahahahaha it definitely took me a while to get to it. But it was super worth it. And super high fantasy. So I know you will love, haha.
