Every Exquisite Thing by Cassandra Clare
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars
Yay diverse rep! But man, Anna, you fall in love faster than a Disney character. I wanted to like Anna so much, but she just didn’t get enough development over the course of this novella (and can you really be surprised, it’s a novella). I cannot wait to see how her character progresses in the actual series. I loved that she learned to just embrace who she was over the course of the novella. She’s comfortable in her own skin and despite the fact that the times might not understand, she realizes that it’s most important to be herself and that the people that care about her will understand. I loved the rep, even if the story itself felt a little superficial.
