Monthly Wrap Up and TBR (October – November)

First off, happy first of November and the official start of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month.) I am going to attempt to participate again this year, despite the fact that I work full time, commute super far to my job, and am in school almost full time? But I love participating and want to get more of my novel written. I’ve also been encouraging so many other people to participate as well, so please let me know if you’re also joining me on this writing journey! Everyone has a story inside them, just waiting to get out – so why not make this November the time that you start to make that story a reality?

I also read 6 books and 1 graphic novel this month, which is way better than last month so yay!

Books I Read in October:

36244389

Hocus Pocus by A.W. Jantha

The Storm Runner (The Storm Runner, #1)

The Storm Runner by J.C. Cervantes

Wildcard (Warcross, #2)

Wildcard by Marie Lu

39196352

The Mental Load (Un Autre Regard) by Emma

The Golden Tower (Magisterium, #5)

The Golden Tower by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black

City of Ghosts (Cassidy Blake, #1)

A Date with Darcy (Bookish Boyfriends, #1)

A Date With Darcy by Tiffany Schmidt

Two Dark Reigns (Three Dark Crowns, #3)

Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake

Books I Want To Read (or Finish) in November:

I have to read the book for my library’s adult book club now so unfortunately that is being added to the list each month, even though I don’t think that should be part of my job.

It’s also NaNoWriMo this month, so I’m hoping to read a few different writing, plotting, language creation, etc books.

Reflection: A Twisted Tale (Twisted Tale, A)

Reflection by Elizabeth Lim

Are there any books that are coming out in November that you are super excited to read? What books should I add to my mountain of a TBR? Let me know in the comments below!

Good luck with NaNo Kyera!! Is the book for the adult’s library club interesting, at least?

ALSO, I recently read a “How to Write a Book” guide for a review and it was really good. The Wordy Woman’s Guide to Writing by Dawn Husted. It was super encouraging and everything included inside was really helpful in terms of plotting, structure, etc. Would recommend if you’re still looking for guides of this type.

Thanks so much for the recommendation, I’m definitely going to check it out! I’m going to be flipping between a bunch of different books and resources this month.

The book actually is, it’s Circling the Sun. Historical fiction set in colonial Africa. I’m enjoying it so far. It’s just not what I would normally read.

Bury yourself in those resources! And of course, make time for all the writing!

Ooh, well at least. Getting out of a reading comfort zone is tough but if you find something good then at least it’s worth it.

Oh for sure. Magical for us. How about three in a 30 day period? Rather than a strict month. That still works!
