1 – How many books is too many books in a series?

My heart wants to say there are never enough books, but honestly, that’s not true. A story can run out of steam and go downhill which can tarnish the entire series.

2 – How do you feel about cliffhangers?

I want a level of anticipation for the next book, but a true cliffhanger is just traumatizing unless I’m reading the series once it is already completely written and don’t have to wait a year (or more) to find out what happens.

3 – Hardback or Paperback?

I prefer to own hardcover books, but I don’t really have a preference when reading – other than the fact that I’m not a fan of the tiny yet giant mass market paperbacks. They just seem so fragile and I don’t want to break them.

4 – Favourite book?

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

5 – Least favourite book?

Maybe Wicked by Gregory Maguire (is that his name?) I just know its one of only 3 or so books that I started to read but never finished.

6 – Love triangles, yes or no?

Generally no, although sometimes they’re okay. If it is done well, go for it – but it is usually not and is just frustrating.

7 – The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

The last book that I actively didn’t finish was in high school. I started reading a physical copy of John Adams in the Peace Corps office but didn’t get a chance to finish it so at some point I need to get it from the library and finish it. It’s still on my Goodreads so that I don’t forget where I stopped reading.

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

10 – The oldest book you’ve read (publication date)?

Is there a way to see that on Goodreads? Otherwise this is a total guess. Maybe the Odyssey?

11 – Newest book you’ve read (publication date)

Sky in the deep

Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young

12 – Favourite author?

J.K. Rowling

13 – Buying books or borrowing books?

I usually will borrow books first and the ones that I fall in love with – I end up buying.

14 – A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

No no, we can’t have it. No calling books out.

15 – Bookmarks or dog ears?

Ahh! Bookmarks!

16 – A book you can always reread?

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling

Really any Harry Potter book.

17 – Can you read while hearing music?

Classical music maybe, but I don’t listen to music with words when reading (or writing).

18 – One  POV or multiple POV’s (POV = points of view)

It depends upon the book, but I enjoy getting inside the heads of multiple characters.

19 – Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

I rarely have enough time to read a book in one sitting, although I am capable of it so it’s usually multiple days.

20 – A book you’ve read because of the cover?
