Books I Don’t Talk About Enough (Rewind) – Top 5 Tuesday

There are certain series that I know I talk about all the time *cough* Harry Potter *cough* but there are other series or books that I definitely don’t give enough love to. So this is the perfect week to remedy that!

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it! Don’t forget to check out her upcoming topics if you’re interested in participating in future Top 5’s! Be sure to check out her post here!

Books I Don’t Talk About Enough:

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

I think because it has been so long since the last book came out and I haven’t re-read this series recently, I forget about it a lot. But I love it and am looking forward to a Reaper at the Gates later this year!

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard

First, Susan Dennard is an absolute sweetheart (and my mom thinks they’re best friends since they met and chatted for a while). But Sightwitch is coming out in February and she deserves all of your support for it, so this is me pushing the series on you again.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

The circus arrives without warning. If this circus was real, that would be amazing! Alas, we have to just keep rereading this enchanting book.

Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

This sci-fi series has such a unique format as it blends messages, surveillance recording transcripts, and dossiers into a thrilling tale.

The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

Renee’s writing is so beautiful and this story is so well done that you need to go read this series.

What books do you not talk about enough? Have you read any of the ones on my list and are also completely in love? Let me know in the comments!

Your list is amazing! As we’ve talked about before, I haven’t read Truthwitch yet (soon I promise!) but the rest of these are some of my all time favourites!!!
Thanks again for participating 🙂 added you to the list

Thanks! I know you don’t like having to wait for new books in the series so I totally understand not having picked it up but I’m excited to hear what you think when you do read it.

I have the first two books and I would like to read those to know if I even like the series before I continue buying them. Especially since the series will be SO long! 6 books have been announced right?

Oh, I will always recommend that series. The author is such a sweetheart that I want to support her… and push her on everyone. Haha.

I have read three out of your five! Truthwitch, An Ember in the Ashes and my favorite by far The Wrath and the dawn! I love Renée’s writing and I need to catch up with it!

  6. Reading with Rendz Avatar

A reread for Ember and Torch is needed before Reaper comes out! I’m having a hard time remembering stuff from both books! Great post!

I also feel like I don’t talk about The Night Circus enough! I think that’s mainly because I talk about YA books, and The Night Circus is adult. And I don’t talk about An Ember In The Ashes as well! I don’t remember much about it though (but I did love it), and I didn’t like the sequel, so that’s probably why. 🙈 I talk about Gemina WAY too much on my blog, probably. 😂

Yeah, I mainly talk about YA as well but there are some books that deserve to be mentioned even though they’re not because they’re accessible to all readers. I don’t remember everything about Ember either so I want to re-read it soon. I do recall not enjoying the second one as much as the first though.

I kind of always forget about Gemina. Like, I really really enjoyed it and super agree with what you said about it, but I always forget to talk about it and don’t do it nearly as much. Wonderful post, Kyera!

Yeah, I feel like I always remember the fantasy stuff and forget the sci fi that I enjoy.
