Most Read Authors – Top 5 Tuesday

Another Top 5 Tuesday, have you started participating yet? Shanah comes up with some really interesting prompts, so it’s really fun to participate. Also, assume I probably messed up my book counts because I forget one… or three that I’ve read by the author.

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it! Here is a list of her upcoming topics if you’re interested in participating in future Top 5’s! Be sure to check out her most read authors post here!

Top 5 Most Read Authors:

J.K. Rowling – 13 books (assuming I can count the tiny Quidditch and Fantastic Beasts books?)

If you’ve spent any time on my blog at all, you would know that this would be on my list. I have read these books in total well over one hundred times so there can be no confusion as to who is my most read author. (Plus the audiobook listens, man, I lost count when I was still in elementary school.)

Cassandra Clare – 17 books

Although I have only reread the Infernal Devices and the Dark Artifices series twice, I have reread the Mortal Instruments more than that – so that’s a lot of Cassie’s work. Plus the companion books like Shadowhunter Academy, the Shadowhunter Codex and Bane Chronicles, and her co-authored series Magisterium.

Rick Riordan – 16 books

The sheer quantity of books that he has written puts him on the list, as I have read all of his mythology related ones (and some more than once).

Sarah J Maas – 9 books

She has also written a lot of books, and I’ve reread them before.

Marissa Meyer – 7 books

I added this a few minutes ago because I saw Shanah’s post and realized Meyer probably should be on my list as well. Haha.

Childhood Throwback

Carolyn Keene – who even knows at this point?

Although she is not a recent most read author, I used to spend my summers in elementary school at my Grandma’s house. She had an entire shelf of the classic Nancy Drew books that I would read over and over (in a tree). I used to love those books and yes, I did walk around calling my pants “slacks” for a while.

Ha you’re right – our lists are very similar! Rick Riordan has showed up on almost every list and I’m feeling so guilty right now lol! If I was to add a throwback series then it would have to be the Babysitters club books – I’ve read every single one!!
    Thanks again for participating!

I’m obsessed with mythology, so I’m going to push RR on everyone 😅 I don’t think I read many of the babysitters club.

I bought the boxed set to read with my kids but then they said they weren’t interested 😢 so I’ll have to read them myself one day!

Wait what?! Why weren’t they interested? Do they not like kids with superpowers?

See that’s what I thought! I’m going to try again in the winter when it’s too cold to play outside. Then they might want to!

Soooooooo many Keene books, but they were all so wondrous. I had the whole big collection, and I”m super sad that I gave them away. 😦 I can’t believe Clare has 17 novels. o.o That girl has powers. Wonderful post, Kyera! ❤

I have a bunch of them on my shelf and I think my grandma gave me hers a few years ago so they’re all in a box somewhere.

Who would be on your list that I didn’t have? 🙂 Maybe I need to add some other authors!

I had Jodi Picoult and John Green on mine, alongside Rowling, Clare and Meyer too😊 I always hear good things about Sarah J. Mass so I’ll have to read a book of hers soon!

I’ve read a few John Green books, but probably only 2-3 so sadly he didn’t make my list. I’ve never read Jodi Picoult though!

I love your list! I don’t think I’ve read that many books by any author. I’ve read all of Maas except Tower of Dawn.

Thanks! I haven’t read Tower of Dawn yet either, I’m a little worried from the reviews I’ve heard from friends:
