Weekly Wrap Up: August 28- September 3

Overall, my week was lovely but yesterday was tough because my grandma had to go to the hospital. Long story short, she and my grandpa are very active people. They have a big garden in their yard, mow the grass, snow plow, etc. Recently, my grandma was feeling pain in her hip/leg and yesterday it got so bad that she couldn’t even get up. We finally convinced her to go to the hospital and find out her hip is broken. butI was there yesterday, I’ll be there again today and I don’t know how active I’ll be able to be on here. I just wanted to update this on my way out of the house to drive back to the hospital. Sorry about that, but I’m sure you guys all understand.

Yeah, she’s a tough and strong lady. She’s 86 and completely independent, so not being able to walk like she used to was making her distraught. Thanks ๐Ÿ’œ

Poor Grandma! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ Hope she is feeling better soon and sending super quick healing thoughts her way! โค I am intrigued to see what you think of Roar. I see so many people have conflicting thoughts on it, and I really want to see what you end up thinking of it

I just got Tower of Dawn and I want to be excited about a new book but it feels wrong. I’ve been at the hospital since Saturday, she finally had surgery yesterday (a mass on her hip/femur grew and broke the bone) and they told us we can look at rehab places. The physical therapist said she wanted to get grandma to one by the end of the week. Which is great… Unfortunately we have to wait for 10 days for the biopsy on the mass to come back and they’re pretty sure it’s cancer, just not sure what type… so basically my family is an emotional mess. (And my mom is one of 7, so there’s between 8-14 of us in grandma’s room at any one time.) Thank you for your thoughts though ๐Ÿ’œ

Anyway, I want to get back to Roar soon but I feel guilty reading in the hospital rather than talking to grandma so it might be on hold for a little bit. I’m still listening to winter on the drive there and home, but I’m afraid my library loan will run out right before I finish it.
