Wizarding World Unboxing – Defense Against the Dark Arts (July 2017)

I was super excited to get this box because it’s all things wizardry and Defense Against the Dark Arts! I loved my last box, so I’m very excited to open this and please join me on this magical unboxing journey! (The video is linked here, if you wish to watch it.)

Defense Against the Dark Arts Crate

From this point in there will be spoilers, so you’ve been warned.

Counter Curse/Jinx T-Shirt

I don’t know that the colour comes out as nicely in the photo as it looks in person, but it’s super pretty and the material is really soft.

Defense Against the Dark Arts Journal

This journal is pretty small, so it’s perfect to carry around, has a nice leathery cover (I don’t know what material it is) and has the signatures of each D.A. member which is a really nice touch.

Severus Snape Wand Pen

Despite probably being one of the few people that still doesn’t like Snape even after his character arc, this is a gorgeous pen/wand. It’s made by the Noble Collection, so as you can see it comes in a box that matches the larger boxes they make for their wands. It’s actually pretty weighty and I am so excited to use it!

Marvolo Gaunt Ring Enamel Pin

Loot Crate makes really pretty pins and this is no exception, although why they would include a Horcrux in the Defense Against the Dark Arts box as opposed to their last box which was the Dark Arts.. I don’t know.

Defense of Hogwarts Metal Book Ends

Remember how amazing McGonagall is, especially when she animated the statues around Hogwarts in its defense during the Battle of Hogwarts? Yeah.. enough said.

When you unfold the box, you can turn it into a Patronus scene with a Dementor and a Stag, but really this box is just super pretty too.

Here’s the box as a whole:

Hedwig just wanted to get in on the unboxing excitement.

Simple-Line-Light-4

I am absolutely in love with this box and definitely recommend it! I am so happy that we got some cool items that you don’t normally see in subscription boxes (like those book ends, as a huge fan of books these will look fantastic on my shelf). It’s so tough to choose, but I think that the _____ might be my favourite item.  I recorded an unboxing, so here is the link if you wish to watch it!

By the way, you can sign up for Loot Crate here and you will receive $5 off. The next theme for the Wizarding World box is the Magical Must Haves – so I have no idea what is going to be in this crate.

Loot Crate’s description states: “Whether prepping for another adventurous year at Hogwarts or hard at work at MACUSA, stocking up on some Wizarding World essentials is a necessity. But donโ€™t worry, this crate will help cross some items off any list!” They are accepting orders through September 3rd, so if you’re interested be sure to click the link!

I hope you enjoyed this unboxing, let me know what you think in the comments below and have a magical day!

I don’t know if I should be excited or sad for you! Yay you want it, but awww you might not be able to get it. I always worry about not liking subscription boxes, but I figured.. can you really go wrong with Harry Potter? Probably not.

I did Owl Crate once and ended up cancelling it, because I had already bought all the books they were sending anyway, and I just don’t know if special editions are worth that much money monthly for me. But this one does sound fabulous!

Yeah I got this month’s OwlCrate because I could figure out which book was in it and I knew I wanted the book, so I hope it’s good.. but yeah, I don’t think I’d keep the subscription all the time. You should totally check out wizarding world though! My mom already said she might steal my Snape
        Pen.
