Longest Books – Top 5 Tuesday

This is the second Top 5 Tuesday that I am taking part in – but I hope to try to participate in each category this month. It was really tough to determine which books were the longest without actually being home to sort through my shelf.

Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme that the lovely Bionic Bookworm does. If you are interested in doing any of her topics on your blog she welcomes it! Here is a list of her upcoming topics if you’re interested in participating in future Top 5’s! Be sure to check out her Longest Books post here!

Assuming that my Goodreads account is accurate (and it’s definitely not because I only started adding books a few years ago), my five largest books are:

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling (870 pages)

Image result for winter marissa meyer

Winter by Marissa Meyer (827 pages)

Image result for harry potter and the deathly hallows book cover

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling (784 pages)

Image result for city of heavenly fire uk

City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare (768 pages)

Image result for breaking dawn cover

Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer (756 pages)

Honourable Mentions:

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling (734 pages)

House of Hades by Rick Riordan (720 pages)

Angels and Demons by Dan Brown (713 pages)

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas (705 pages)

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare (701 pages)

I don’t know about anyone else, but I didn’t count any of the books that I would call bind ups or collections of multiple stories like Sherlock Holmes or the Chronicles of Narnia. Those show up on my Goodreads shelf as having a lot of pages, but since they’re multiple books/stories in one novel they didn’t count for me. It also crazy to think that I was in middle school the first time I read the largest book on my shelf.

What did you guys think of my list? What is the longest book that you’ve read? Let me know in the comments below!

You have some really great books on your list!! I was actually mad that I couldn’t include Winter on my own because a few beat it out- that’s one of my favorite longer books!

Mine was David Copperfield, the edition I read was 974 pages! It was a good book though, very worth it!
