Divergent Series – Veronica Roth

The first book in the series takes place in Dauntless, the faction that is known for their recklessness and bravery.  Tris must decide where she belongs, in Abnegation with her selfless family or taking a leap of faith and joining a new faction. The entire series is full of action, bravery and a question of loyalty.

An Ember in the Ashes Series – Sabaa Tahir

Laia must overcome her fears and put her life on the line for her brother. She would do almost anything to make up for her perceived shortcomings at the beginning of the book, growing into a stronger person. Elias has grown up in a place that he despises and must decide whether to risk his life to leave or embrace a future that will corrupt him. The world is vividly built and full of locals that you could spend hours exploring. If this series sounds interesting, be sure to check out my review of An Ember in the Ashes here.

Red Queen Series – Victoria Aveyard

It takes a lot of nerve, daring, and bravery to masquerade as a Silver when your blood runs red as dawn. But Mare is forced to do that and more in this series that is a blend of fantasy and dystopian. Be sure to check out my review of Red Queen here.

I don’t know about you, but I love Harry Potter and have spent way too much time on Pottermore. I’ve been sorted by J.K. – have you? If not, be sure to go to Pottermore. I’m curious if the house you always identified with is the one you were sorted in, or maybe you feel like you’re very strongly split between two houses. Let me know! What House are you in?

Were there any books that you feel fit perfectly in this House that I forgot? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Don’t forget to check back next week for the third post in this series!

I think these books fit Gryffindor perfectly! They’re all full of characters who take matters into their own hands and get down to business!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with for Slytherin!

Ahhh stupid spam filter stole your comment, I’m sorry! But thank you! I’m having such a tough time writing Slytherin. I picked the books ages ago, but my brain is just not cooperating and letting me write why I feel they fit perfectly. Also, your comment made me start singing I’ll Make a Man Out of You.

To a true Harry Potter fan you don’t really need to explain why they fit lol. We all understand. And that reminded me that I need to check the spam filter. I wonder why it does that sometimes?

That made me feel a little better and I just finished my explanations for the books.

I don’t understand, usually once a person has posted on your blog it doesn’t confuse it for spam – but I had two from people who had commented before. I never remember to check there.
